wife I now take the
pleasure of wrighting a
few lines to you hoping
thay will finde you all
well as thay leave us at
present. we ware out
scouting on friday
but we sean nouthing
we ware out to
vianna thare was tow
ore three thousand all
to geather we can
never com across them
when we gow out
strong handed
I receved your kinde
and welcome letter

just when we returned
from the scout on
friday night dated the
12 in and was glad to
hear from you I also
recved our Richard
letter at the same time
we hav had good newss
from the burnsides fleet
the men are in good
sprites at the news
that is coming in from
the diferent partes
of the contry we are
of the opion it cannot
last long fore everey
thing is in our favore
we would like to
be doing some thing
in this direcshion
but it may be fore
the better as thay
want to spare life

day we get the sunday
