Affectionate sister I write you
a few lines this morning to
inform you that I am tolerable
well onley bad cough but I hope
these lines will finde you
all well I and uncle rece
the letter you wrote to us
and ware glad to hear from
you again I rece a letter from
Corp. Jefferson he was improving
some he is at winder hospital
near Richmond Va 4th Div ward
62 John Bean is well
it appears that T L Troy is not
coming this month Daniel
hendrick said he would bring us
boxes if we pay his way
so we send for him to come

Father if you can I wont
you to see what day he
can start and send me and
uncle a box he can weigh
the boxes and go to Salesbury
and get free transportation
to bring them his expences will
be $60 if he brings several
boxes we can easy pay his way
it is colde you can send me
pies and cakes and 1 chicken
send meat ½ lb soap ½ lb salt
I am afierd you tried to send by
troy he aught to be brought back
to ranks he wont come and
still he writes what day he
will start I would rather
pay a man than have you botherd
about sending this from
Jesse M Frank to M B Frank
and Alex Frank Mother I still
remember you send me a tater
crustard so adew J M Frank
