Biography:
Archibald Curlee (b. ca. 1843) was from Olive Branch in Union County and enlisted as a private in Co. I, 53rd NC Inf. on March 20, 1862. Curlee was reported absent without leave from September to December 1862, returned to his regiment, was hospitalized July to September 1863, after which he was detailed as a shoemaker and survived the war.
