Biography: 

Henry Wiley Jefcoat (b. ca. 1842) was a mechanic and farmer in Orangeburg District, South Carolina. He lived with Frederick K. Livingston Jr. (b. ca. 1823) and his family in 1860, along with his brother J. J. A. (Joel) Jefcoat. He served in Co. D, 20th South Carolina Infantry with his brothers, John J. and J. J. A. (Joel) Jefcoat. He survived the war. After the war, Henry married the Confederate widow of Dr. Patrick Henry Pou (1828-1865), who also served in Co. D, 20th South Carolina Infantry but was killed in the Civil War. Henry and  Maria Vernon Pou Livingston (b. ca. 1847) had at least ten children together.
