Biography:
Prevey (b. ca. 1830) lived on a farm near Williamston with her husband, Alfred, and their two small children. Her husband served as a private in Co. B, 40th North Carolina State Troops (also known as the 3rd North Carolina Artillery). He was wounded at Fort Anderson in Brunswick County, North Carolina on February 3, 1865 and died two days later.
