Biography:
John Gibson Parrott (b. April 10, 1858) was the son of Lucy A. (Tirrell) Parrott (b. ca. 1836) and Josiah R. Parrott (b. ca. 1833), a clicker, or shoe cutter (OED), from Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. John worked with his father as a shoe dresser and married Jane Smith (b. Dec. 25, 1861), who worked in the shoe shop and lived with John, Josiah, and Lucy. John died May 24, 1886 at the age of 26.
