Biography: 

Willis Bowman (b. ca. 1823) was the step-father of Thomas Jefferson Price (b. ca. 1833), Zachariah Monroe Price (b. ca. 1840), and Henry H. Price (b. ca. 1845). According to the 1860 Census, neither Willis nor his wife, Elizabeth Willis, could read or write. Bowman served as a private in Co. I, 2ndMississippi Infantry (Quinn’s).  He survived the war, and in 1870 he and Elizabeth were living in Lincoln County, MS.
