Eli Phillips Letter, SC 2880

Eli Phillips (b. ca. 1841) was a farm laborer from Stipps Hill, Salt Creek Township, Franklin County, Indiana.  He mustered into service as a private in Co. B, 37th Indiana Infantry on October 19, 1861, reenlisted as a veteran in Febrary 1864, and mustered out on July 25, 1865.
