James H. Baker Papers

The Bakers were a farm family from Rockingham County, North Carolina. At the time of the 1860 census, James H. Baker (b. ca. 1846) lived in the household of his parents, Anderson and Ruth Baker. James H. Baker served as a private in Co. D, 4th Battalion North Carolina Junior Reserves. He died in a Richmond hospital in February 1865.
