James W. Parlier Letter

James W. Parlier (ca. 1830-1869) was a farmer from the Pore’s Knob area of Wilkes County, North Carolina. He enlisted on September 23, 1862 and served as a private in Co. I, 26th North Carolina Infantry. He was married to Phoebe Cook Parlier, and together they had ten children. J. W. Parlier was wounded in the arm in May 1864.
