Mr W I Box Dear friend
I will write you a
fiew lines which will inform you
that my helth is about as usial and
that I reached camp the same eave=
ning of the day I left you and
found all the boys well and as
lively as I ever seen them we
have had too days hard marching
and lay out one night in the sleet
and snow it rained on ous nearly all
day and nite and was very coald
Billey I want you to write to me and
let me know if you can fined the
leather and make sister Jane
and Lizzie one pair of shoes

each and what you would charge
for them and whither you would
take thiss confederate money we
have on hand now in pay for this
or not if so I have sent sent
some home to sank and if we
can make the bargin I can [?]
him to pay the money to
margret if that would
suit you I expect they would
want a tolerable neet shoe
one that would do for eather
sunday or evry day ware you
would know a bout the kind
that would suit them best
I supose they could Get robert
Culbertson to take thare
measure and margret could send
it in a letter to you nothing more
