Dear Father
I Seat My Self to write to you once More
I am wel to knight though I am very Much
fortiegue & tired we have bin on inspection to
Day almost all Day and we have bin Reviued
by general Ripley also Father it was the greates
Site I ever Saw the Long Lines was A half Mile
the Numbers of men was betwen two & three thousand
we past in Revie once in comon tim & once quick
time; to get Rume to pass in Revew I think we
walked five miles, al the way thrue the Sand
after the Revew the generald Said to us that we
were the best Regt in the confederat States
or as good their was A Regt of Regulars Revewed
by the Side of ours whitch has bin Drille twelve
Months & the generald Said that we was as wel
Drilled as those Regulars I wil bring My Lines
to A Close for to knight as I am tired and
fortigue January 1th 1862
Father I Received your kind Leter whitch
was wrote the 15 of Dect 1861 in it your
wrote that you was al wel whitch I was glad
to hear I Never got the Leter till Monday
Last you wrote that you went to Philleps
after Sea Shel I did not Send them by
Philleps as I wrote tern over
