take this opertunitey
of writing a few lines
to you i hope thay
will finde you all
well as thay leave us
all at present
The weather continues
verey warme hear
and gustey we hav
had rain severel
eavings togeather and
like fore having more
I hav nouthing of
aney importance to
write in this letter
onley to let you
know that we are well

armey is not fit

not the pleasure of

we ware kept back
as a reserve in case

we ware got up
at one o clock to
get readey we thoug

to scout i seane one
of the finest cornefealds
i ever seane it had some
seventy ore eight eacers
in it it avredged from
five to eight feet in
hight baring corne
