in Warrington citty

My Dear Wife I
take this opportunety
of writing a few
lines to you I hope
thay will find you all
well as thay leave us
at present I did not leave
our old camp till satturday
morning we started fore
warrington in persute of
our rigiment we came
across it at ore near
warrington whare we are
now dowing Picket duty
we expect to leave hear
this after noon we hav
got orders to fall back
the hole armey is faling
back to manasses

I receved two letters
from you [??] when i
got to the rigiment thay
had bin hear some time
before i got hear one
dated the 2nd [????????] [1]
other 10 of june welmington
Delware I was glad
to receved them I did
not know what to make
Of that letter dated
witmington Del I thought
it was from Hugh
Kilbreth when i first
got it I soone found
out diferent i was glad
it was from you I
had to bring my letter
to a close as we left
warrington fore manases
I am glad to see you
tak an out do you good

Tuesday morning
manases Planes we got
hear last night about
ten 10 o clock we lay by
our horses all night tied
to our leggs so that we
did not get much sleep
thay say the rebles are
in Penselvania and we are
gowing after them all
our troops are coming
this way making fore
washington I thin that
the rebles hav bin to
sharp fore our Generels
I only wish our men
to come across them in
Penselvania I think that
thay will get well wiped
this time this is a nice
contry to fight the rebs
in on these Plains

the cars are hear now
fetching rsshings fore the
soldiers i will mail
the letter the first chance

will hav his compney in
Harsburg before you
get this letter no more
