Mr Clark
Sir I received your letter
a fiew days ago: and have seen a good many
of the voters: and the people are well pleased
with you: with the eexception of your railroad
notions: they say you have promised
not to oppose the railrod; but have not Said
you would Support it: if it comes up
before the house: And I want you to
be certain to have a letter at my house
befroe the lection comes off; to satesfy
the one way or the other; and I will
do all I posably can for you: but if they
are not better Satesfyed in that respect they will
vote against you: You had better come to my
house on next Sonday and attend the
election at the Springs: and if you cannot
come; Send me a lettr by hand; as I will not
get it in time by mail: Your friend
