Dear Father & Mother I seat
myself to drop you afew
lines to let you know that
I am well & hope when
thes few lines comes to hand
thay will finde you all well
& doing well pa I have
know neus that is worth
writing at this time & wont
wont write much pa Snap [1]
has the lung feaver & I am
afraid she is going top die
She is geting vary thin in
order I have her in good pasture
but cant get any grain for
hir I think if I had hir at
home & she was taken cear
of as a hors ort to be she would
recover but we cant take cear
of a hors as thay ort to be
hear, pa Camel Anderson
will be op
in a few days & if she is
abel to travel I will send
hir by him he has promas
to take hir for me

company vary good at this
time I believe I was the
worst off of any of them the
other day with the tooth ache
but I was soon relievd of
that I had It drawen &
it had a root about a
half inch long I thought
Docter Times was agoing
to pull my head off
my health is vary good
at this time & pa we hav
tolerble plenty to eat
Especial our mess pa if
we dont draw it Thom
Shaver goes our in the country
& gets it so we never suffer
pa I would like to be at
home awhile know
rest my mar & myself
I would be glad to see
you all but I dont make
any calculations to het home
soon we m[a]y get home this
winter but vary onsertain
thay get hearder on us every
day thare is not much probi
bility of a fight hear any ways
shortly, write soon
