February the 15 – 1863 Mr Govener Vance
Dear Sir
I have 3 discharges from service and I am now
in service by commelment and they tell me
that I cannot be discharged untell I send to
you to now wheather you will grant me another
discharge from service or no all the docters
says that I am not fit for service I will send
you a copy of my discarges Head quarters northcarolin[?]
troops adjent generls offic raleigh oct 16 – 1861
special orders no 500 Privit stephen .H. Jones
Capt suttons company N.C. troops is discharged
from the wervices for disability; J.G. Martin adjutant
General; stephen.H.Jones is unfit for milatary
duty and is tharefore discharged James P. Bryon
Novenber 29 – 1861 surgeon 20th Regt
N. C. Militia
Privit stephen .H. Jones of Capt D. S. Davis [1] company
of Partizan Rangers is here by discharged from said
company on account of disability. W. J. Roberson
the camp near Kinston sergeon
auguat the 11th – 1862
I am now in capt Robersons
company and no survice to him what ever; and if
you will grant me another dscharge and wish
to see these discharges that I have pleas write
to that efect and I will send them to you
your obedant Stephen .H. Jones
