Governor Vance
Dear Sir
I wish to no if you
will give me apersition on the central R.R.
to take up deserters & the reason is that I was
wounded at the battle of manassa in
the right legg & am not able for field
duty & think that I could travle on the road
very well &c
I do not no whether it is nessesary or
not but through probably that it
was & so I ask you for the persition
& hope that you will arrange so if you
pleas
I am your umble Servant
