I rite you a few lines Concerni
ng a exchange that war made below
richmond with my Self and a man by
the name of Jones I exchanged with him
in order to go to the 16 [1] in order
to bee with my brothers the transfer
was given to me by the officers
of the 14 regiment to go to the 16 regiment
this man Jones was a member of Co F 16
through my brother war in the haywod [2]
Co Co L the 16 I my Self and Captain
Worley and Captain Howel othe too
Captains of the too Companys went
to Colonel Davis and had it arranged
with him for me to go to Co
L from from Company F both of the 16
to fill the vacence if of private boyet that
left Co L and went to Co F and I was
to fill his plase in Co L Colonel Davis
and Captain worley they give me
the transfer and then they war kiled

and now the officers in Command of the
Campany now dont want me to go
to that Company they Still Claim
me in Co L which I belong to
Co L I Came home from gordens vill
and while I war at home the Company
wear exchanged to go to the
Strawbury plains to thomases legon
I hav bin with the Company ever
sense it has bin at the plains
and I got permision to Come home
a few days a go to se mi family
as they war Sick and Colonel
jarett has arested me while I
war at home and Captain Blackwell
sent a List to Colonel jarett and
had my name on the list not noing
I was transfered from that Co to
Co L you will oblige me by riting
to me and Col jarett and having it arraing
So I Can go back to the Company
