Gov Z. B. Vance,
Please Your Excelency I wish
to informe you that some of my neighbours
is aming for a tobacco crop, one is Young
Single man with a Substitute in the
army and a gang of Negroes at home who
Sed he aimed to make 4 or 5 or 8 thousand pounds
this year, I think all tobacco groers aught to
be Sent to the army or all of the tobacco
plants distroyed by some athority . I am 47
years old and a inelad and I am thinking of
my Wife and three children, those tobacco
groers say that they must raise tobacco to
pay there tax with at the Same time hold
corn at 25 or 30 Dollars per barel.
