of you in witch I hope you will use your influence
Sir I am a Northcarolinian raised at ashville N.C. I am
a Son of Rolen Coggins I enlisted in 8th Ala Regt
.co [?]. I wish to be transferred to the western Army
col. mc. Louds. Regt. of infantry I am in General Wilc
-coxes Brigade Andersons Division Sir I hope you
will use your influence with any one ho may hav
that power my address is co. D. 8. Ala Regt
in care Col. Royston Willcoxes Bregad Andersons
Division I would be under many obligations to you
for your influence I remain yours very repectfully
