Mr. Z. B. Vance – the Governer of North
carolina I inform that I went to my Company
Com C. 16. NC. Satrops [1] the first of April
& was arested after Eight or ten days & I was
Court Martial & afterwards I heard that I was
Sentenans to Be Shot and I Broke thru
the gard & com home & after I come
home I heard that I come Clear & if I had
new that I had come clear I would not
ov left ther By no means whatever
& if you will Send me a Repreave I will
go Back to my Company & dy with
them sertin & Send me Orders to take
J. C. Parks who was Majestrate of Iredell
Couny & there he throwd up &
went to Wilkes C O & Stad thare a Bout
Twelve Month & then went to the Armey
as 2 Liers in the Com E 54 N C
State Troops under Cap . D. W. Parks [?????]
& Got a Blank & out adischarge for
His Bro therinlaw G.W.Wilhem which is thought
By Every Body & then resine & come home
& this he is not half of the report & now
he has taken Oath of magestrate a Gain
& Wiight to me Son & send me a reprive of
all Punisement I will goe Back & Give me
time to Get thare & give me Orders to take them
to ancer this soon & let me no
