your Excelency Gov Vance Dere Sir after
my Best Respects to you I have a request
to make of you you have ordered the conscripts
to be taken up in this County and I have one
Son that ainte gone yit and I underStand
that Congress has passed a law for all
person to have hands to make them Support
And I havent I am old and afflicked So I
Cant work none and my cropes planted
and if he is taken off it will be lost two
of my Sons volantered in Cap Hay
Company one of them has died an the other
one is in that Company yet an if it
is Consistent with rule and Regalations
I Want you to partition Presadent Davis
For me and know if he wont Detail my

Son to work at home I underStand that
the presadent is Autherised to give all persons
a Sufficient quanty of labor to make ther
Support my Son is not able to Stand the
Service his health is not good nor hante bin
he had the the Fever twice last wintir and he
hasent got over that yet I want you to do what
you can for me in this case an you will
