great plesure that I avail my
self this morning to drop you
A fu lines to let you no that
I am well at presant hoping
theas lines may find you
injoying the same Blessing
I Expect you have Bin informd
of the circun stance I am goin

Enought to Keep my hogs fr
om suffering som died there
fore I did not stil or sufferd
to be stilled more grain then
I would have had to fed to my
stock or lost them there four
re I hope you will order Mc gess
to return my stills as my fru
it is redy for use as to the tax
I am willing to pay it tha say
that tha ar going to sell them. I hop
e we hav no such law as that
I hope you will send A order to
me to go and git my stills as
the tax will pay the confederate
states Better than the stills
