Mr D. C. Barrow.
Der Sir I a Gane take my pen to in form you of the affars her my famaly is not well two of my children has the fever and I am not well my Self though I keepe up and the negros ar all well as Could Be ex Spected Sapha has had a Child Sence I write to you it is now ten days old and it is a Girl She was in the Same fix this time that she was in when you and your wife was her at the time She give Birth to Evertine [?] though I Re leve hur with out Sending for a x doctor and I Shall have a yarde full of little negros her next yer for tharis fore more [??][??] that will have Children Be twen now and the first of June if no Bad luck happens to them

this is all I have to write a Bout the famiely now. for the wether it is verry dry and has Bin So ever Sence the [??] storm and it is a harde matter to get Bread in this Section and it has Cut Cotton off very much it and the Bole worm to Gether Sum So half But I thinke my Crop is Cuut off one thirde at lest for it [??] has Roted the most I ever have Sene But one time and that was in thirty nine But I think I Shall Still make as much as I did last yer for I have a Bout 70 Bales out now, and I thinke I have fifty or 70 to pick yet I have not Got over the Second time yet and it will take me two weeks to Git over yet and I have 128627 pounds of Cotton out and I have not Gind But two days Sence I write to you nor I have not packed But little for my tape Give out and I had to waite a week Be fore I Could Git a man to bild me one and I shall finesh it in the morning and Commence packing a Gane I am a Rushing a head all I Can and I think if nothing happens I Shall have my Crope house By the first of December or as Soon as I can. I have a fine lot of manure maid But [??] it has Bin So dry that it is Bad to make it and I have my lots Reddy to litter now But Can not haul untell I Gitt my waggons Repared and it is the hardest worke to Git a worke man her that I ever Saw and I have 18 Bales of Cotten at [??] Bainbrigdy and I should of had 40 thar if my waggons hade not of Give out and I want to finish Gethering of my Corn

[2] to But I ben not now untell the waggons ar finished and that will Be a weeke this is all I have to Rite a Bout my Crope my Stock all Looks well and thar is a lot of my hogs that ar fat a nuff for porke now or nerly So and I have But pen pigs and it is a fine thing But I Shall have a fine Chance after a while But I shal not have much Corn for them I wish you to write to me Soon As you Git this and let me no what to dow and let me no a Bout whar you wish me to sow oats and a Bout the negros Clothing and a Bout thar shoos and a Bout evry thing you wish me to attend to for you and I will dow the Best I Can for you in evry Re Spct for that is what I dow all the time it is now late and I must Come too Close and I hope I Shall not Be in such a push when I write the next time
