Der Sir I a Gane tak my pen to wirte you a few lines to in form you of the affars her I have nothing Good to write to you I write to you a Bout Mattax haveing of the dropsy he is ded he died a tusday evning of fare [?] all () ack [?], he was a dying from Sunday evning un tell that time I had Dr M C Min and Beaus to se [??] him But all dun no Good I was up with him 10 days and night and it had like to kild me for I staid the most of the time with him I have seen several pursons dy But nothing to Com par to his dith for he died the hardest By half of eny one I ever saw Can not write much to you now for I feel porly and have such a pane in my neck and sholders that it is with pane I write I have the most Bad luck it semes to me But I ought to feel thank full that it is no wars then what it is I have finish sowing of my oats I have [??] sowd all the land I write you I s ould sow and if you dont let me have more hands I shall 50 acars more as soon as I Can her from you I wish you [??] would let me her from you a Bout it I am a Giting a long verry well with my work I have a few more rails to split yet Be fore I have a nuff to finish Re paring of my fence I have my [??] wagons a halling of manure I shall finish pealing of lays [?] next week and I ahsll Git all of my land Brake in Jenuary if I keep one plowing I am a long way a had of eny men in this County this is a Bout all I Can think to write
Thar is 5 negros in the hous now with Cole tha Complane of thar Brest and her But it is nothing But Cole I have had good luck in sowing / saving [?] of my meet I want you to write to me what you will dow a Bout more help you must excuse my sorry letter so I x Remane your frend far well J.
