Mr. D. C Barrow
Sir Allen lit a saplin fall on him last satirday it hurt him some onn his back and his leg is soolen some but is beter than it was yestiday I had the Dr to see it and he said northing was brook he say he feeles a heape beter than he has since it happend yellow peter is better the places that the shot cut is nerly well they have a small scab formed on the place whar they went he is at his business yet. and Matilday has find boy child it was bornd last knight 20 mineuits after 10- oclock she is geting on very well to day at 12 oclock she say that she is free from pain at this time Dr. J. A Carter attended her and he told me to tell you that one of the American party in this Destrick sayd to him that you had never was seen in a grocery and some in the glad destrick and x in the Goospand Destrick they would knot vote for you if you did knot Gow in them too Destricks and treat them the Dr and all of your friends ar dooing ther best for you down her Dalton is spreding of him self for you in this part of the county my corn is dooing beyan my [??] expectation and my bottem cotten is dooing fine But my upland is sheding as fast as I ever saw cotten in my life some 2 or three of my hogs has the desise that the hogs ar dying abot her with I am using salt and asheses and copper as my salt is nerly out I have sent to Mr Daltons to day to borrow a sack of salt I dont know know (sic) exacterly when I shall commence puling of my fodder I had rather loos fodder than corne as I have old fodder on hand
