Dear wife and Chrildren it is
a grait pleasure to mea to informe you that I am well
at this time hoping theas fiew linds will find you and the
chrildren well Margret I dont no hardly what to tell you
Consurnng my transfer Mag weller Ses that he will
let us off whin he Gets his leather worked up and that
will be a long time first I Sean fairer yesterday he is
a congress man from our state he told mea that
he would cum down and see Mag weller next tusday [1]
and try to Get us off now but I am a fraid that
the Mag will not let us off tho I hope and trust
that wee may Get off soon I will sind you sum
stamps in this letter I want you to rite soon as you
Get this letter for if I dont Get there before this letter
you nead not look for mea soon for if our congress
man failes to Get us off you no that wee Cant have
no influence our selvs the boyes ses that tha are in
good hart I dont no wether to sind you the money
this time or not for if wee should Get our transfurs
I would stop in Columbia to Get the thing you sed
for mea to Get and it mite be that I would need
it there but I wont have no youse fore it hear
and maby I had better sind you twenty five dolars
any how for fear I wont Get off to Cum home
and if I should Get off I will draw all that is cumming

life to think that I cold Get to cum home by
Getting one man Consent to live with a loving wife
and darling chrildren but if I Cant Get to cum now
