of helth Margret times is hard hear and the
wether cold wee have sum fraust the mornings
is very cool tho prety days Margret wee learn
that tha thas bin sum hard fighting in tennsee
if you hear any thing of the 3 batlion I want
you to let mee no the Casualities for I am
very anctious to hear from it I learn that
long streat was ingaged in the fight tha are
looking fore a fight on the rapreckhanock the [1]
enemy is advancen on general [??] I wish
the war would ind and all the solgers go
home to there wives and little children for
it begins to faver Starvation about this
plase every thing Scears and so miserable

to fatten put them up soon as you can and Get
them as fat as you can for bacon to my opinon
will be 500 Dolars a pound hear next Spring becaus
tha ant no old bacon hardly and no body a raising
hogs in this country for tha hant had the chance
and the army has distroyd all the hogs and no
other cuntry rasing more than tha will need and
keep up the army and if you can Get Salt
to save our six fatten them and if you have
more than will do mea and you provided wee Should
live I have no daut but what I could Sell it
hear next Spring after it was dride for five dolars
a pound provided I Should Stay hear but if winn
wants mea yet and will make the aplication to
rhett and sind out hear by Simpson I will Get
to cum home I rit to papy to Get Simpson to rite
