Dear Friend
I now take my pen in hand to let you know that
I am well at present hopeing these fwe lines may
find you engoying better health than you was
when you writen to me I was proud to receive A
letter from you to think that you thought enough
of me to write to me it came to me in dew time
it found me well but I have bin very sick
since you must excuse me not writing sooner
the reason why I have not writen before is I did
not know yor Capt I wil enclose this in Mr
Glenns letter & when you write you must name yor
Capt I have nothing of interest to write to you
we recieved A letter from Father to day he was
wel & not much mor news at present he stated
that G T Baureguard had preseented all of the
Reedgments A nice Battle Flag to use only in
time of a battles & there was the most men & the gretest
time that he every sawe there M T Glenn
is very sick I have not heard to day how he
getting along Mr Martain I would like
to be up with you I hope god wil permit you
all to get back in saefety you must write
to me and give me all of the news I have read your
letter A great many times untill I know it by heart
you excuse my short & bad composed writen letter So nothing at present but remains yors
truly till death
