you A few Lines to Let you no how I am
geting A Long I am well at this time
& have bin well ever Since I have bin
in Virginna Father I expect this will be my
Last Leter for A while it is thought that
Comunucation will be Cut of it is Most certain
that the yankes will take Richmond I Learnd the
yankes is in nine Miles of Richmond the way
they are Coming to Richmond is up James
River; I will Say to you that you May not be
Suppris if you dont get are nother Leter from
Me for A whil I Must bring My Leter
to A Close for the Mail is A going to
Leave in A few Minuits
