in Petersburg Va at Poplar
laund horse pittle I am Nearley well [1]
Now my head hurts me verry much
Some times exscept that I am about
well I hope these few lins may
Come to hand & find you all well
& Doing well I am
well treated hear and I like to
Stay hear the Best of Any horse
pittle that I have Ben in since I
have Ben sick I Saw Wm Davis
& David Coggin But I Did Not git
my Clothes & I told them to leave
them at the Ala Depo at
Richmond and I will git them ther
though I have got Clothes plenty
at this time I sent you By Daniel
Coggin fifty Dollars and I wount
you to rite to me wherther you
git it or Not and I wount you
to Do the Best you Can I see that time
is hard and provision scarce
