My Dear Campanion I onc Moor Embrace
the present opportunity of Dropping you a few
Lines to Inform you these few Lines Leaves me
tolerable Well and I hope when these few Lines
comes to Hand they they find you enjoying the
Same Like Blessing and all the enquiring Friend
Wife I know Nuthing Special to write at the present
Time only I have Returned Back to My Regiment
one Time Moore I have Ben at the Hospital for
7 weeks and have Been Talarable Sick with
Typhoid Fever and was Low Down But I am
Happy to Say I am one Time Moore enjoing
Good Health and I hope Ma Cantinue So
I have Jest Got Back to the Regt yesterday
and I found the Settlement Boys Generally well
I found the Regiment 12 Miles Below
Fedricks Burge and 40 Miles from Richmond
on the Rail Road from Fedricks Burge to
Richmond and Closs to the yankees and
a Looking out for a Fight But I dont
know whether their will Be Any fight or
not for the weather is So Cold we Cannot Stand
To Fight the Snow is a bout 3 Inches deep
at the present Time and the Mud knee
deep almost the weather is awful Cold
at the present Wife I Recivd the Close you
Sent me by Danniel Coggins and was very
Glad to [??] them I Sent you Fifty dollars
