Joseph E. Wesson Letters
Joseph E. Wesson (b. ca. 1827) was a farmer from Talladega County, Alabama. In 1860 Wesson and his wife, Rachel Jane, were parents of six children. Wesson served in Co. K, 42nd Alabama Infantry. Joseph appears to have died during the war. He is not listed in the 1870 Census; Rachel Jane Wesson is listed as head of the household. She also applied for a pension as the widow of Joseph Wesson.
