Mrs A E Coggin My Dear and affectionet Companion
it is with plesure that I seat my self to
Drop you afew lines wich leves me in
good helth at the [present?] [???] [???] [1]
may Come to hand in Due time and find you well
and Doing well I have No Nuse to right to you at the
present time we have moved to [Sena?] I rote to you the
last time we ar Campt Now Near the plaice
where we fought the first battle that our Regt
was in that was the Battle of Cedar run that
was the plaice where tom right got woundred
and I have Ben over the Battle field to
Day and I Could See plenty of sighs of the

ground I Could See the Sculls of men leying
on the ground I Saw saw meney Shoes
leying on the ground the Bons of the
mens feet in the Shoes I have Saw Several
Cannon Balls that was Shot During the
Battle I went to the plaice where I was
During the fight and I Cannot see
how I Come through Saif though I think
[that?] it was By the power of the almity that
[???] permitted to get through saif [??] I
hope that the almity may guid me
Saif through all the rest of the Battles as
he has Dun in gone By Das if I Should
ever Bee in another Battle and Should have
the good luck to go through saif I shal thank

fight them any time and we all ways go

flour and one half pound of Bacon per D[??]

flour Beef Sells at 50 Cts I Dont By

for Beef Dos Not agree with me when
it is fresh I love the tast of the Beef

I have Come from the hospital I wount

is tolerble good at the present time
we have Some sickness in our regt
