My Dear wife
it is with plesure that I
seat my self to Day to right
to you to inform you that I
am in good helth at the
present time and I am along
ways from home I hope
those few lins may Come to
hand in Due time and
find you well and Doing
well I have Nothing of
much intrest to Communicate
to you at this time I Can
Say to you that this is
one of the Best
Stats for Grain that I
ever saw I have Ben out
of the united Stats for
Some time though I Can
say to you that this is

when I was in the united
Stats I have seen agreat
Deal of good Country
and I am along way from
home we ar gitting aplenty
to Eat hear in this State
though the peope hear
Dont treat us as well as
the people in the Confederet

treated hear than I thought
that we would Bee
Before we Come hear tha
all treat us as well as
I Could exspect of them
