The enclosed note suposed to be from
you reached here this morning. In reply I have
bad news. On the 5th of this month, Your Husband
(Sargt Wm A. Pace) was appearantly a great deal better
and was walking about nearly the entire day, in
the early part of the night he complained a little;
at 10 oclock he was sudently taken worse, and
the surgeon in charge was amediately called in
and when examination he was found to have
a severe attack of Palpatation of Heart, evry
thing posible was amediately applied but to no
effect, he lived until 4 oclock the next morning
at which time he went off perfectly easy. ---
His Remains was descently Burried in the
Methodist Grave Yard of this city, and can be
easily found should any of his friends call for it
Sargt. Pase, left some few cloths, and $47.00 in
money, which, you are entitled too, his effects
can be goten by application to Surgeon WC.N. Randolph
in Charge Genral Hospital No 2 Lynchburg Va
I am pleased to say that youre Husband
died a happy Christian, and I have nodoubt buts
what your loss i agreat Pain to him Vary Respectfully
