Mrs Pace
Youre note of 11 Just is just
to hand. After a great deal of dificulty
I succeeded in in geting the effects of youre
Husband. I went to the express
office and the agent told me that it
was not safe to send them at that
time. Though the line is open now and
I will start the Box on next Munday
and will return the money until I
here from you, if the Box gets through
safe let me know, and I will then
forward the money amediately. I have
been a little negligent in regard to the
effects of your Husband, on account
of being so crowded with sick but it
shall be promptly attended to, The late
fight near Fredricksburg has a again
filed our Hospitals with sick and

wounded. Your Box will leave on the
Mundays express. If you Receive that all
right; let me know and I will then send
the money by insured Express which will
cost a little more, but if it does not
come to hand you can make the
Express Company Responsible to you for
it. Hoping this will be satisfaction
I Remain Very Respectfuly
