Dear father I have taken my pen in
hand to drop you afew lines to in form
you that I am well at the presant
hoping these few lines will find
you all well I am proud to sa th
at I made the trip Safe when I got
to chattnooga I found but wone
man that I new any thig about
I staide thaire three daies and nigts
I left thaire on the 22 and landed
here at noxville the same day when
I got here I found mr pilley and
several others of my companey here
also found uncle george buckem and
and danel crainshaw and several others
acquaintences is her I have found that
gen bragg armey is fall ing back to this
place we will get with our com
mans here at his place thaire is some
of the men agoing to thaire commands
now uncle george left here this
morning to go to his regment some of
the reg ments has all ready got here
I am looking fur the 22 Ala reg ment
in about three or daye turn over
