Camp Winder Jun. 2.
Dear father i Seate my Self to
let you no i am gitting A good
eal better though I am very weak
yet i cant tell how long I Shall
Stay hear hoping thes few lines
may find you and family all
well when it comes to hand
I Received your letter to day dated
April 26 and wase very glad to
hear from you to hear you was
well I was very Sorry to hear brother
Nathan was Sick though I was
glad he got home i am very glade
to hear Brother Thomas is at hom yet and
exspects to git A discharge he noton
to want to come back for it gits
worse ever day i have nothing
new to write at present thay are
furloughing men Right Smart

now but I Shant git no furlough
now I dont think i want to come
home to See you all if it wase
So I could but I See no chances
at present to git home I have
not Received any letter from
Angeline Sence April the 15 i have
Started her 5 letters Sence I got
any letter from her two of the
letter I Sent to her last I Sent
her $5 in each letter I want her
to keep writing untill I git A
letter from her i dont git any
letters hardely hear lataly i have
not hearde from Brother William
sence i left him at guinneys
Station May the 2 i have nothing
more at present write soon and
give my love and best Respects
to grandfather carpenter and

aunt Martha tell him I want
to hear from him and ant
martha i would be very glad
to see them but I can not tell
when we have been very dry
hear for some time thay are dying
hear very fast some 30 or 40
ever day i am gitting very tired
of this war i want it to come to
A close the worst of all things in
the world i am gitting So I dont
mutch care what end Comes

present write soon give
