Dear Cusin i take my pen in hand to
drope you a few lines to let you know that
we are all well at this time and i hope
that when thes few liens comes to hand
they may fined you all well and doing
well and enjoying the best of health i
nothing to rite that would interest you
i exspect that you have herd of farthers
death be fore now sister Isabell rote uncle
Soloman a letter since farther died and i
have also answerd Cusin Marys leter and
have not receive eney answer yet frem
none of you there farther said for us all
to stay to gether as long as tow of us stays
single he said he was not afraid to die
i believe that he is beter off i believe
that his soul is with god to rest for
ever more i will say nothing more about
that corn is worth 50 centes a bushel wheat is
worth 2 dollars per bushel eggs 25 centes a dosen
butter 30 centes per pound apples 50 centes to one
dollar per bushel pork 8 centes [?] i would
like to see you all and talk with
you all i can tel you more then i
can rite so i will close rite soon and
then i will rite agin to Cusin Thomas Carpenter

well to quit Cusin Betsey i wold be glad see
