South Carolina } September the 9th
Abbeville District } Dear cousin I take
my pen in hand to let you know I am well at
present hoping when these few lines come to
hand may find you enjoying the same blessing
I will say to you that we got home on friday
eavening we got to uncle Davy Cumins a
bout eleven o clock cousin Reuben Cumins was take
sick on the third day after we left there I
haint heard from him since the fifth Sunday
he was a little better than he was when we left
there all the rest of the connection is well as
fare as I know I enjoyed my trip very well
I wold like to know how you enjoy yourself
the time of the camp meeting an since
I have thought a good deal about the time
we spent to gether the last night of
ball creek camp meeting espesly I would
like to know how Mr Troubble Field enjoyed
his self that night It seem to me that he
was taken on very much that night I wont to
know if you are stil in the same notion
you was when I was out there I have taken on [???]
