Dear Miss it is withe plasure I seat
myself to let you know that I am
not well but I am better an i
hope when those fiew lines come
to hand they may find you well
& doing well I receive your letter the
other day & i was glad to here from
you but I would drother see you than
to get your letter if I could but
I dont exspect to see you soon but i
hope that i will see you some
time or other you must excuse my
short letter for i have to go to fight
the yankeys we have to go right off
the most of our boys is gon now and
we ar saddle up to go and i dont no
when i will get back to camps a gain
but when i get back i will rite to
you a gain i would love to see you wonce
more if i could we see heard times
here we dont get half a nough to
eat i will have to bring my fiew
lines to a close for we have to go right
