Augusta Feb 2 1862

Dear Friend Hattie

how do
you do this morning well
I hope and all the
rest of the Sodom
ites. but that is more
than I can say bout
this tents crue for 3
of us are off duty and
the Dr. is rather cross
and does not feal vary
well I guess for he
has just turned his
bed down and turned
in I have been about
sick with a cold for
2 weeks and Jim Chase

about as long and
Will got kicked yesterday
he was fixing a parting
betwene his house and an
other and he shifted
his horse into an other
place and after he
got it fixed he was
leading his hoss back
be hind the other
horses and one of them
kicked up and hit him
with one foot over the
fet left eye and cut
a place about 1 inch
long cut it to the
skull he had two stiches
taken in it his head
ached considerable bad
las night but this
morning he says [??]
feales pretty well now

self or any bod else
about him for I have
wrote fool as bad as
it is for I think if
you are going to say any
thing it is best to
tell the truth dont
you. well we havent
left Augusta yet and
there is no signs of leaving
Oh if we only knew
whether we wer going or
not I should be so glad
for here we are one day
we hear we are going to
be disbanded and the next
day that we shal leave
next weeke and with the
cold weather if it wont
give a fellow the blues
I should like to know
