Livermore Dec. 22nd 1864
                    Thursday eve.
Mrs. Perkins-
                     In accordance with my
promise I address you _ my brother is at
home- a parroled prisoner- he was with
your brother all the time till the first-
of Oct. when he was sent from Andersonville Ga. to Savannah. your brother was very sick
with the diarehea for six weeks before he
was sent to the hospital- Milton was
with him and took care of him – did
every thing in his power for him – since
he was sent to Savannah. Milt – has not –
been able to hear any thing from him
    Milton is very miserable – but – we hope
with good care he will soon be better –
Any other information will be gladly
given -                    Hastily
