Camp Grover
Nov the 18 [1862]
Dear Sister 4
in answer to your kind letter whitch
I received in due reason and was very glad
to hear from you but was dreadful sory
to hear that you was sick hope you ar
better I am well and hope you ar now
you wanted to now how I got a long &
what I have to eat we get along very well
we have a lot to eat I have gaind 8 pounds
I way 156 with my over coat of[f]. you can see
in Alvras letter what I have to eat we ar
under Bankes Comand and shall move soon
I dont know whare perhaps nearer home
I was glad to hear Dear sis that you
have not forgut to pray for me I have
read your letter over and over I canot
help from weeping every time I read
them I prase God dear sister that if
we never meet on earth we will meet in
heaven but I believe that we shall
meet on earth and enjou eatch others

company so we will keep up good cheer
tell mother not to wory a bout me but
but to cheer up for for I expect to meet
her and enjoy her company and if I do
we will never part again untell death
parts us tell mother to answer the last
letter that I wrote to her and send me
some more stamps for I have but one
now I have wrote to Elder Stevens &
to Portland so I have got but 1 and
cant write but one more I wrote to
uncle Moses & Lavina have they got
them when you wright tell me who
has got a letter you must write soon
who does my work write all the news
whare shall I direct to Mitlemore
he wanted me to write to him you
must take care of your self and
see that mother does send me
some stamps right of[f] write as soon
as you git this and tell all the news
tell Charles I will write as soon as I can
tell friends
