Dear father
I take my pen
in hand to imform you
that I am well as usual
and in good spirits. I hope
that this will find you
the same, we are to the
same old place and we
dont expect to stay here
another moment but
we seem to stop here but

and we expest to go to
day But we dont seem
to start. I shall be glad
when we do start it
is a getting Mudy
here now it does rain

I resieved a letter from
Ella to day and am now
a going to answer it we
are having an hour extra
drill every day expecting
to go along with [Banks?]
I am sorrow to hear that
william Allen is sick
when was he taken is
he a getting any Better
has he got his discharge
yet has his regiment
left yet we are a going
where he is. I have been
about sick for the last
fortnight my face still
lingers to be sore so I
dont drill any it may
be the means of getting
my discharge But I
dont think their is any
danger of it. it has

sow yet. is Ward a
helping you this winter

Dear Mother
I recieved your
kind letter to day and
was glad that you wrote
to me I will try to ans
it. I am here at minors
hill. there is heavyr rain
can storms out this way

we have to home and
it is the hardest part of
this life is in a rain
storm we have tents
as good as the goverment
can afford but their are
not as our hog pen is
to home I had rather
have our hog pen to
sleep in because I
think it is warmer my
face is no better it is
as big as a hens egg yet
the doctors says that I
am having a hard tine
of it but I an thankful
that it is no worse
M Card is a coming here
next week and I shall
send home some letters
By him he has had a
hard time of it. give my
love to all of my friends
and recieve this your
