Dear Aunt Mary
I take my pen in hand to write a
few more lines we had a Chaplin but he
was only a nine months man so when we come
here he left us and now we have none at
the preasent time but I beleave that we have
got another one a coming his last name
was thayer from Salem. we lost a good
man when we lost him he tended right
up to his bissness while he was with us
I hope that we will get another as good
as one Edgar is well as usual and is
awaiting for his time to come home with
us he is with the other part of the Company
so I do not see hime very often I am a
going down their this afternoon to
see him and if he has got any word
to send home I will put it in here and
I guess that he has. we are all a getting
sick of this kind of buisness pretty fast
[page 2]

stay out here three years but I dont think
that I shall. I am a going to leave the
rest for Edga r give my love to all
inqiuring friends and to all of the folks
and recieve this from a friend
and a Nepfew
