Dear Mother
I recieved your kind and interesting letter
yesterday and was very glad to hear
from you. and to hear that you was a
getting better but I am sorry to say
that I am no better. but in hopes to be
well soon if my diarhea get well but
if that still continues, I am afraid that
it will turn in to the Chronics diarhea
and if it does, Probable it will be
worse their is a good many that
is a getting their discharge an that
(but when I get to the Regt. I shall be in
better shape to march if I get perfectly
well of it before I start for the Regt.) my
head turns around so that I do
not know what I am a writing the
Medicine has just come around and
he give me something that turned
my head right around. so I shall

have to stop for a few moments.
the mail has just come and no letter
for me so I shall have to write
what I can think of in this letter. I guess
that I must have some letters gone
to the Regt. by the way that my
letters come. I wish that my box
would get here so I could have
something to eat. but I guess that
it will be along by to morrow or
next day at least I hope so. has
Father got through haying yet
how does his crops look do they
look as if he would have anything
or not does his potatoes rot any
now. they say that they are a
rotten very bad in New York but
I hope that I guess that I will
not write only a half of a sheet this
time as I shall have to write when
I get the box please send a paper
once in a while good bye Edwin
