Dear Parents as it is
a stormy day i think
devote my attention to writeing
my health is good as the
climate will aford how
it your health have you
got over your cold i sup [suppose?]
i begins to grow war wether
there by this time it
is very cold here now
some days hot enough
to melt you and the
migits [1] thicker then bees
they bit worse then ma
scetoes – you wanted to know
was farnsworth lik[?] i dont
hear eny complaint thoug
h i think he would

eny Fred has bin sick
in the hospittle he had
sore throat but he
has returned back to
the company to day
now as for news i dont
get much you must
write that i hear that
they have won two or
three more battles
i hear that they are
going to inforce more
troops our i hope
they will
now i will
draw to a close
for i have wrote all the knews
so good by till agan write
soon
[2] I have just received a letter from lucy shed sed that
Miss adams was at [word?] in [????????]
